| The Throttle Cam System
by G2
Ergonomics can make your bike easier to ride in rough, technical conditions. By utilizing different cams on the
throttle tube for different track or trail conditions, you will have increased control
of the power delivery, resulting in better control of your motorcycle and
less wasted energy due to unwanted wheelspin. |

|
| The
G2 Throttle Cam System kit comes with Cams 100, 200, and 400. The 200
and 400 cams allow a more precise
control of throttle opening during the 1/3 of throttle opening, but retain
the same overall rotation to full throttle. Cams 050 and 300 are
available separately. Cam 050 also comes in the Quick-Turn
kit. |

CAM 050
-
(sold separately or in Quick-Turn kit)
8-10% FASTER
throttle opening. Ideal for supermoto and highly recommended for
aggressive 250F riders on tacky or sandy tracks that allow full
throttle use.
CAM 100
- use when conditions offer near perfect traction -
same as stock
profile.
CAM 200 - use for
intermediate conditions or moderately technical trails.
8-10%
slower throttle opening during the first 1/3 of throttle
opening, same overall rotation from closed to full throttle.
CAM 300 -
(sold separately)
use for moderately technical trails. 13-17% slower
throttle opening during the first 1/3 of throttle opening, same
overall rotation from closed to full throttle.
CAM 400 - use for
slippery, technical, tight trail conditions.
15-20% slower throttle
opening during the first 1/3 of throttle opening, same overall
rotation from closed to full throttle. |

We recommend that you
ride and evaluate the TCS before competition to try the three
cams and feel how each effects your control. For best results,
try on a track as similar as possible to your normal racing
conditions.
Your Throttle Cam System includes three cams (CAM 100/200/400).
The CAM 100 is similar to your stock cam. The CAM200 has a
“cammed” shape with a slightly smaller radius in the first 1/4
turn of the throttle. The CAM 400 has a more pronounced “cam”
shape with an even smaller radius for the first 1/4 turn of the
throttle.
For best results, start with the CAM 400. This will show the
maximum amount of control with the system. After a few laps,
change to the CAM 100 (stock). Going back to the stock feel will
provide a point of reference and demonstrate the advantage of
this system. Now try the CAM 200. For the remainder of your test
session, switch cams several times to feel which cam works best
in different conditions. This is crucial to teach yourself which
cam to choose for different conditions. |

| Removable end cap for easy
handguard installation |
1.
Attach cam to tube with grip securely installed. It is
recommended that grip glue is used and safety wire installed.
Allow time for glue to properly set per manufacturers
recommendations.
CAM 100 - installation is same as stock.
2. With engine turned off, slide tube/cam onto handlebar and
attach throttle housing. Tighten bolts on housing to
manufacturers recommendation.
3. Insert throttle cable into throttle housing and attach
barrel of inner throttle cable to cable "keyhole" on CAM 100 with
the small top throttle housing cover removed. Next, install
cable pulley and top throttle housing cover per manufacturers
recommendations.
4. Adjust throttle cable free play per manufacturers
recommendation before operation.
CAM 200/400 - Installation instructions.
1.
With engine turned off, slide tube/cam onto handlebar.
2.
Insert throttle cable into top half of throttle housing (not
attached to the handlebar).
3.
Pull inner cable as far as possible and hold with thumb (see
picture) - similar to technique used to attach throttle cable to
carburetor slide.
4. Insert inner throttle cable end barrel into cable "keyhole"
on CAM 200/400.
5.
Attach throttle housing to handlebar, install cable pulley
and top throttle housing cover per manufacturers recommendations.
6.
